Come and Enjoy a Relaxing Island Paradise

. . . Abaco and Elbow Cay are located 150 miles due east of West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Florida and are a short flight from these airports. Travel to Marsh Harbour, take a short cab ride to the ferry docks where ferry’s run regularly to Hopetown or you can have your boat rental awaiting you in Marsh Harbour and arrive directly to Abaco Vista’s private dock. You can call Albury’s Ferry ahead of time to arrange to your schedule or you could also have your cab driver call them directly on VHF to arrange a private ferry.

Local Transportation. . . Golf carts are the most common method of getting around on the island. The entire length of the island is 6 miles and there is plenty of exploring to do. There are a few rental agencies on the island offering cart rentals. We recommend reserving your cart ahead of time and it will be waiting for you at the ferry dock upon your arrival. We recommend you using Elbow Cay Cart Rentals.

Enjoy the Beautiful Waters of The Abacos. . .We recommend renting a boat no larger than 26'. There is so much to see and do while exploring the surrounding chain of islands known at The Abacos. The ocean waters are some of the clearest and most beautiful you will ever see in the world. You can fish, visit other settlements, find deserted beaches and picnic and snorkel on numerous reefs including National Sea Parks. We recommend you arrange the rental ahead of your arrival. You can also contact Froggies Out Island Adventures to arrange day trips and guided dive and snorkel excursions.

It is our recommendation that you shop at the larger grocery stores in Marsh Harbour before heading to the Albury Ferry Dock. Prices and selection are better. Your cab driver will wait for you. There are several small grocery stores on Elbow Cay including Vernon’s, Harbor View, LVA and Sweetings Grocer. It is also advisable to shop for your liquor at the several stores in Marsh Harbour. There are two stores on Elbow Cay but the prices are much higher.

Dress is very casual on the island including dinner dress. US currency, travelers checks and most shops and restaurants accept major credit cards.

This house is easy to sum up - it is one of the best properties on Elbow. The quality of the home and furnishings far surpass any other rental property we have seen on Elbow or for that matter anywhere. We have rented vacation houses before, but none compare to this one. I could repeat everything in the previous reviews and will say that all the great comments above are very deserved. The layout of this house is perfect for entertaining. My wife and I shared the house with our two sons and two friends they brought with them. The house can easily accommodate 8 and still offer privacy since each bedroom is separated from the others and has its own bath. If you are bringing your own boat, the location is perfect. Sea Spray is just across the street. I could look out our bedroom balcony and see my boat. I hope to be able to come back to Elbow next year, and this is the house we will stay at.

This is a stunning property (living space and views from both sides of the house), situated on a quaint cay loaded with beautiful beaches, colorful, flower-filled residential spaces, great waterfront restaurants, and enough activity to make people watching interesting without making you exhausted. Located in the middle of the cay, it is as easy to get to Tahiti Beach as it is Hopetown, and walking distance to two very good restaurants. The service staff throughout the cay were all pleasant (probably because they like where they work). The house itself is very comfortable and superbly appointed -- light and airy with great views from all rooms. Having the ability to enjoy both the ocean and the bay is a unique feature. Can't say enough good about the place...hope to return soon.
